Renovation Trust
Homeowner and Contractor Protection
Homeowner and Contractor Protection
As a homeowner, using Renovation Trust means you never have to risk losing a deposit or prepayment to a contractor. When you fund your project, your contractor will get paid at different milestones - as work is completed. Not sure your contractor will want to use Renovation Trust? As a neutral third party, we work to protect both you and your contractor during any home renovation or home improvement project.
Like homeowners, contractors too are at risk of being ripped off during a home renovation or home improvement project. We protect both the homeowner and the contractor.
The homeowner deposits the project funds upfront into their Renovation Trust account. This does not mean the contractor will receive these funds at once, but rather the contractor knows they will get paid upon completion of milestones.
Along with protecting your money, Renovation Trust offers a wide variety of tools to help both homeowners and contractors better manage their projects. Upload any documents, quotes, contracts, progress or inspirational photos to help better manage your project. Better project management leads to less misunderstanding, making for an easier build.
Once you have created a project, you can invite your contractor to join your project by logging into your Renovation Trust account through the app or website and hitting the Invite Your Contractor button. Once your contractor has accepted the invite, both parties can upload more photos, documents and manage milestones. For less misunderstanding and an easy, stress-free build, changes made by either party must be approved by the other.
We will use the email and/or phone number you provide to us to reach out to your contractor and invite them to your project.
If using our app, you can invite your contractor through an SMS/text message or an email sent directly from your phone.
